WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales are Down Wrestleology by Russ_Cohen - April 11, 2026April 11, 20260 Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Send email Mail Print Print WrestleMania 42 is a huge event, but one thing to keep in mind is the fact that the WWE is charging a lot for their product, and a fair amount of the matches haven’t had enough time to percolate and create the necessary heat. When I asked Google AI how ticket sales were going. The answer wasn’t good. It did a deep dive and said it’s 17-20% behind last year’s sales, and cited TKO’s pricing structure and reduced Las Vegas tourism as reasons. Vegas isn’t the cash cow it used to be because the economy there isn’t robust. WrestleMania may have the highest gross sales and still not sell out. That is a real possibility here, and it makes me wonder if they are pricing out the average fan. Getting celebrities there helps, but it doesn’t help sell out the house shows. I don’t think social media posts are going to sell a lot of tickets. I see there is a surge of them lately, but it may be a case of too little, too late. Pat McAfee won’t save the event. He’s not even creating much buzz at the live shows. Online, it’s been a flop from what I can tell. I think The Rock will be there in some way, shape, or form during the Roman Reigns match. If he’s not, then from a pure star power standpoint, this WrestleMania will pale in comparison to shows of the past. Monday Night Raw better be a banger. They need more wrestlers’ wrestling instead of just cutting promos and having run-ins, so they don’t get hurt. There are a few headliners who haven’t been in the ring in a bit. Stephanie Vaquer hasn’t had a match since March 16th. I think ESPN is doing too much to try and get the WWE over with their sports audience. It’s something that works once in a while, an appearance here and there, but it’s been too frequent and feels forced.
