Flyers Rookie Camp Report Hockeyology by Russ_Cohen - September 11, 2025September 11, 20250 Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Send email Mail Print Print I thought this camp was organized and did a lot to get the players ready for a game the next few days. Here is what I saw: Luke Vlooswyk – He used his 6’5” frame to pin Denver Barkey to the boards. No current Flyers defenseman does this and someday he may do this at the NHL level. Andre Mondoux – As far as ATO’s go. He has a smooth shot. I have to mention that. Ethan Samson – I think his shot has improved. Austin Moline – Looks bigger, faster, and his positioning was solid. He is developing nicely. Spencer Gill – He had a moment where he took a slapper and the blade hit the roof. It was funny. He skates well with the puck up the ice and made nice outlet passes. Oliver Bonk – He made smart outlet passes and had a nice wrist shot goal. Look for an exclusive interview on the next Locked on Flyers. Denver Barkey – I don’t think you can get him to be much more than the 174 pounds that he’s currently listed at. He had the fastest release on his wrist shot. Samu Tuomaala – His release can be slow at times. When he has that extra second, he could score a pretty goal. Let’s see how this plays out. Nikita Grebenkin – His skating was good. His offense wasn’t on display. Alex Bump – He went out of his way to impress John Snowden by playing very defensive responsible hockey. Jack Nesbitt – His skating was good. His defense was the best part of his game today. His instincts were strong. That’s all for now.
