LEGO March Madness

College basketball is going MAD this March for the world’s **LARGEST** LEGO® brackets and life-size LEGO basketball hoop, built by LEGOLAND® Discovery Center San Antonio’s Master Model Builder, Kevin H!

Both slam-dunk builds can be checked out by visitors of the attraction, which is located just steps from the Alamo and River Walk. Plus, families can learn how to build a LEGO basketball from an expert builder to get even more into tourney season spirit!

The towering 6.5 ft x 8.75 ft basketball brackets are made from over 30,000 LEGO bricks, and the basketball hoop includes 11,500-bricks.

Master Model Builder Kevin spent over 55 hours designing and creating these record-breaking builds, and he will be updating the teams throughout the tournament. If the 30,000 LEGO bricks in the brackets were lined up end-to-end, they would stretch the length of 12 full-sized basketball courts — that’s LEGO “Brick-etology” at it’s best (and biggest)!
