LEGO March Madness Hoopsology by Sportsologist - March 17, 2026March 17, 20260 Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Send email Mail Print Print College basketball is going MAD this March for the world’s **LARGEST** LEGO® brackets and life-size LEGO basketball hoop, built by LEGOLAND® Discovery Center San Antonio’s Master Model Builder, Kevin H! Both slam-dunk builds can be checked out by visitors of the attraction, which is located just steps from the Alamo and River Walk. Plus, families can learn how to build a LEGO basketball from an expert builder to get even more into tourney season spirit! The towering 6.5 ft x 8.75 ft basketball brackets are made from over 30,000 LEGO bricks, and the basketball hoop includes 11,500-bricks. Master Model Builder Kevin spent over 55 hours designing and creating these record-breaking builds, and he will be updating the teams throughout the tournament. If the 30,000 LEGO bricks in the brackets were lined up end-to-end, they would stretch the length of 12 full-sized basketball courts — that’s LEGO “Brick-etology” at it’s best (and biggest)!
