Best Album of 2025 – exo-X-xeno Luminous Voyage Music & Concerts Reviews by Russ_Cohen - December 31, 2025December 31, 20250 Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Send email Mail Print Print This is a prog rock album. It’s such an interesting listen. The band members are Craig Maher (guitar, vocals), who founded this project, and he’s a New Jersey resident. The other band members are drummer Jay Schellen (Yes, Asia, Hurricane), bassist Billy Sherwood (Yes, Toto, and Conspiracy with Chris Squire), and a legend in Patrick Moraz (Refugee, Yes, Moody Blues). The level of musical expertise on the album is evident. The first track, “The Event Horizon,” is my favorite. The guitar is tight and clean. The keyboard and bass work so well together. The drumming is precise. After you hear this, you realize you’re in for something special. On the second track, “Vitruvian Man, the vocals really stand out. The bass is ever-present and the harmonies are so good. It’s a great jam. There are seven tracks on this album, and I didn’t want it to end. The flow, clean sound, and clarity of the instruments really hit the mark. The tempo on some of the songs is amazing. This is a well-produced, well-played album with masters of their craft. exo-X-xeno should tour!
