Some Great Adventure Rides Are Challenging

I had a sore neck, so I had to sit out. I post some videos on my Instagram feed. The Jersey Devil is the first one that really encapsulates the area.

My photographer, Katelynn Reiss, rode it. She’s in the video, and to be honest, looked concerned. Again, the climb is crazy, and as the ride operator told me, this ride was all about the G-Force and battling that. Here is what Reiss said about it.

“The Jersey Devil was way more fun in my opinion (compared to Nitro), however. It felt faster and more intense. It shot us upside down and sideways almost constantly.”

Nitro doesn’t give the rider much time to stop going into an upside-down situation, and that can get to you. Katelynn survived that one, too.

“Nitro was a blast that kept me out of my seat almost for the full ride. It felt smooth and intense all at the same time, and I can see why it’s a fan favorite.”

The Joker got a big response on my Facebook account. Most were like “hell no” when I showed a video of it in action. I get it. There’s always one that’s hard to handle, even for the craziest riders.

El Toro is a wooden coaster and is beautiful. It reminds me of my childhood.

Reiss summed up the coasters this way.

“As a casual coaster enjoyer, the two of them really helped show me what Six Flags was all about!”

Just before the Safari, we rode the carousel, and that was fun. It was one of those rides that is beautiful and ornate. It was fun, and the operator was great.

The Safari was the next thing we did, and that was a 30-minute drive that I will always remember. I will write about that tomorrow.
