For Blittner and Cohen, this is their first time collaborating on a book project and they hope to combine

their respective writing styles to bring readers the best possible product. This is Blittner’s fifth career

book in his eight-year sports reporter career and the first he will co-author with another writer. As for

Cohen, the veteran sports reporter of multiple decades, has previously authored 10 books, with one being a solo project and nine being collaborations with other writers.

“I’ve known Russ for a majority of my career,” Blittner said.

“Co-authoring this book with him was a very worthwhile experience. My four previous books have focused on the stories of Hockey’s best broadcasters and writers, so doing this one about goals players have scored on the ice is going to be an interesting exercise and one I wholly look forward to.”

“When Matthew told me he had this idea for a hockey book, I was all ears,” Cohen said. This was a labor of love, like with most books. Some of these goals hurt me deeply but all of them are worth celebrating.”
