Here is a list of players who caught my eye. 

Rocco Pelosi – C – 2027 draft – He played second-line center for the NTDP. He has first-round offensive skills, but he doesn’t have a good defensive game. However, with the speed and creativity he has, as long as he can get to rage defensively, I can live with that. His give-and-go goal was one of the best plays I saw. Committed to BC. 

Diego Gutierrez – Right shot defenseman – 2027 draft – He was one of the best skaters. His escapeability was a weapon. He can fight off pressure while moving the puck up the ice. He’s 6-2, 187, but he can go 200 for sure. Committed to Notre Dame. 

Stephen Cover – C – 2027 draft – He had a goal in two games as the top-line center for Madison. He was probably running 50% on draws. His defensive game is very good. I like the way he chips the puck up the ice with purpose to get the puck going the other way. He has good speed too. Committed to Providence.

MJ Campbell – LW – 2028 draft – He had a goal and an assist in two games for the Chicago Steel. He was a top liner. He can play at speed and is a terrific passer on the rush. I like how he gets back on defense too. Committed to Notre Dame. 

Daniil Butin – LW – 2027 draft – He played top-line left wing for the Musketeers. At 6-0, 180, he can handle himself out there. Had two goals in two games. I like how he got inside position on plays in position on plays including a goal. His speed was ok and his defense was good. 

Zaac Charbonneau – LW – 2028 draft – He played like a player older than his birthdate with the Muskegon Lumberjacks. You can listen to an interview here. He is a terrific passer and has good acceleration. He has trained in Philadelphia since he is Danny Briere’s nephew. He had great things to say about Porter Martone. His one-timer on the power play stood out. 

Gunnar Conboy – C – 2027 draft – He has first-round tools. At 6-4, 200 pounds, he has room to grow. His wrist shot goal up the gut was impressive. He took every big face-off and was successful in most. He’s good in the corners. Committed to Minnesota. 

Some others just missed the list. I saw a lot of talent and will be tracking them throughout the season.
